Baltimore’s Homicide Toll Surpasses 300
Baltimore’s homicide toll for 2015 surpassed 300 over the weekend, Associated Press reports.
Police Commissioner Kevin Davis referred to the news as a “sad milestone.”
The 300th homicide recorded earlier Saturday was the stabbing death of a 27-year-old man. Less than four hours after that slaying, police reported another homicide Saturday night.
This is the first time since 1999 that the city has recorded 300 homicides. In 2014, the city saw 211 killings for the year.
