The come up is real.

Fresh off the news of her BET Award nominations, Cardi B and Offset debut their video for “Lick” off of Cardi’s Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 2.

Adorned in old Hollywood garments, the Bonnie & Clyde duo start off in a casino, dotting their i’s and crossing their t’s while staking out their next hit. Cardi then changes into all Black to prepare for her “come up,” or in other words, a “lick.”

Lookin’ like I caught a lick/ “Run up on me, you’ll get hit / All my bitches with the shits / Bronx, New York is a bitch,” raps the Bronx native while sporting a ski mask and bodysuit.

Following her wardrobe change and some rolling dice fun with offset, Cardi can be seen exiting with a large trash bag full of dollar bills.

Not one to be modest, Offset comes in with a stunt of his own. “Lookin’ like I hit a lick and f*ckin’ on a badder b*tch/
F*ckin’ on your daughter, ask me how I get the water wrist/
Think he poppin’ hard but he really wanna take a pic (flash)/ He can’t even believe I done got rich”

“Lick” is about the moment when you catch a big come up or when you make a big check,” Cardi shared in an interview at The FADER FORT in March. “When you just make something that weren’t expecting to do, but it goes to your benefit. And that’s what happened with my life — I caught a lick.”

Keep those licks, coming Cardi. Peep the video below.
