As Promised, Drake Premieres “Signs” During Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week Show
Drake came through as promised with a new track during the debut of Louis Vuitton’s latest collection. As shared yesterday by the brand’s artistic director, Kim Jones, “Signs.” served as the soundtrack for LV’s Men’s Spring-Summer 2018 fashion show at Paris Fashion Week earlier today (June 22).
The 40-produced track is a mellow vibe that finds the OVO rapper taking on the role of care-taker, which is not far fetched from most men in his position. “Like Lisa/You need a… money and visa/And you get what you want always from me/I can’t say no when you say ‘Please’/I can’t say no,” Drizzy sings in the tracks first verse.
Suitable for LV’s couture ambiance, the piano keys and soft percussion sounded right at home. Shoutout to OVO’s Oliver El-Khatib for the selection! Yesterday, he announced that he was behind the music for the show via Instagram. “New one from @champagnepapi titled SIGNS (produced by @ovo40) tomorrow for @louisvuitton SS18 show. I had the pleasure to curate the music for the show with all new music from @ovosound. Stay tuned. Thank you @mrkimjones,” Oliver captioned the pic, which features the “Signs” cover art.
Check out the fashion show above. “Signs” begins around just around the 3:30 mark.
