Rihanna’s Album Hits No. 1

By// Chandler Rollins

Congratulations are in order for Rihanna. The good girl gone bad’s seventh studio album, Unapologetic, landed the No. 1 spot on the U.S. Billboard charts this week. With collaborations from heavy hitters like Future (“Loveeeee Song”), David Guetta (“Right Now”) and Eminem (“Numb), the album sold a cool 238,000 copies in its first week.

It’s safe to say that all the drama surrounding her relationship with Chris Brown, including their track together on this album (“Nobody’s Business), isn’t affecting her money-making. The release of Unapologetic marks the singer’s best sales week to date since her fifth studio album, Loud, and Rih Rih is ecstatic.

The Barbadian singer took to Twitter to share the great news with her fans: “Wait!!!!! What the F***?!!!! #UNAPOLOGETIC just debuted at #1 in AMERICA!!!!!  My first number 1 album there!!! Thank you Navy, u deserve it.” Another tweet followed saying: ” I’m legit crying like a pu*** right now #UNAPOLOGETIC.”
