Listen to Terrace Martin’s Jazzy Take on “Mask Off”

Future’s “Mask Off” has become the highlight of social media over the last few weeks.

The certified gold hit has garnered attention from professional and amateur musicians, making it the sole proprietor of one of the more creative viral challenges to hit the scene.

The #MaskOffChallenge finds the musically inclined recreating the flute line from Tommy Butler’s “Prison Song,” sampled by Metro Boomin on the hit track. Who better to join in on the wave than Grammy-nominated Terrace Martin?

A longtime hip-hop producer and impeccable jazz musician, Martin has played a major role in merging Jazz and hip-hop. Since starting his career in 2004, Martin has collaborated with countless artist as both a rapper and producer, including Ab-Soul, 9th Wonder, Robert Glasper, Snoop Dogg, Ty Dolla Sign, Wiz Khalifa, James Fauntleroy, Problem, Musiq Soulchild, Warren G, Talib Kweli, Kurupt, DJ Quik, Brandi Kane, Jay Rock, and many others. He was also one of the most integral parts of Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly.
