JAY-Z Readies ‘4:44’ With Oscar-Winner Lupita Nyong’o [VIDEO]
Mr. Carter will soon return with his 13th studio album. Yes, JAY-Z is back, or will be shortly. But ahead of 4:44‘s release, Hov has been dropping short snippets of the album and keeping his fans on their toes. The latest teaser comes as a 2 for 1 special.
Following “Adnis,” the newest 30-second ad for Jay’s TIDAL X Sprint exclusive features the song “Kill Jay Z.” The trailer follows the same black-and-white theme as the first. The clip highlights a young Black boy, who I’d say, seems to be running for his life, with the phrase ” STAY BLACK” on his shirt – a scene that is all too familiar.

Jay followed up with a second clip, a black-and-white ad for “MaNyfaCedGod,” which features Lupita Nyong’o. The Oscar-winning actress shows off her acting chops in the third 30 second visual. As a morbid beat plays in the background, tears flow freely down her cheek while her body shakes in despair.

Hov has mentioned Lupita in the past, shouting her out on Jay Electronica’s “We Made It Freestyle.” “I’m on my Lupita Nyong’o / Stuntin’ on stage, after 12 Years A Slave / This Ace of Spades look like an Oscar,” he rapped.
4:44, JAY Z’S first album since 2013’s Magna Carta…Holy Grail, will drop Friday, June 30, exclusively for TIDAL and Sprint users.
