Drake, Rihanna, Future and More All Passed on Travis Scott’s “Goosebumps” Beat

It’s far from uncommon for producers in Hip-Hip to send out the same beats to various artists in hopes that one of them cooks up a hit. While we usually only know which artist ends up with the track, it’s always interesting to know who else could’ve taken a shot at making it their own. In the case of Travis Scott’s “Goosebumps” that list of possibilities is a particularly intriguing one that’s brimming with star power.

Featured on Travis Scott’s platinum album Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight, “Goosebumps” features Kendrick Lamar and is without question of the standout track’s on La Flame’s latest LP. The platinum-selling single was produced by Cardo, who recently spoke with DJ Booth via text and confirmed that he sent the beat to a number of heavy hitters before Travi$ Scott whipped up his addictive anthem. “Only three to four people had that beat,” Cardo told DJ Booth via text. “That was Drake, ScHoolboy Q, Future—don’t know if he ever got it—Rihanna and I sent it to Young Thug as well.”

This info from Cardo would likely explain how PartyNextDoor and Jeremih were able to get their hands on the “Goosebumps” beat and use it to craft their recent collab, “Don’t Tell Me.” Having received the beat from Cardo, Drake could’ve easily passed it along to his OVO labelmate PND.

The real question here is, out of the five stars listed, who’s version of “Goosebumps” would you most want to hear?
