Chris Brown and Ray J Surprise Fans With ‘Burn My Name’

Chris Brown and Ray J surprised fans with a collaborative mixtape aptly titled, Burn My Name, which definitely works for the complicated R&B lotharios. The 10-track project features Jackie Long, Payso B, and Truth KO and opens up with “F*ck Them Hoes.” So much for beating around the bush, huh?

“Lately I’ve been doin’ way too much, I’m ruthless,” sings CB. “I’ve been playing stupid, way too much excuses / I know I let you down, pussy made me lose it / You know my mind is stupid whenever she shaking the booty.”

Though tapping Vince Staples as a guest, his debut comes in the form of an interview soundbite telling Hot 97 why Ray J is “top 5 hip-hop West Coast of all time” and that “everything we love is directly related to Ray J.” Payso, Jackie, and Truth pop up on “Let It Bang.”

The project ends off with the title track, which brings things full circle and allows the press-worthy pair to sing candidly about their careers. This comes as a follow up to last year’s “Famous” and Attack the Block’s “Cherry Red,” “I Already Love Her,” and “New Gang,” which also features the R&B crooners.

While we await Chris Brown’s eighth studio album Heartbreak on a Full Moon and Ray J’s Raydemption, stream Burn My Name here.
