Chance the Rapper is Throwing a Birthday Bash and You’re Invited
In the words of Oprah, “You get an invite! You get an invite! Everybody gets an invite!”
Our residential good guy and rapper extraordinaire, Chance the Rapper, has a birthday on the horizon, and you’re invited. To mark the occasion of Chance’s 24th year around the sun, the Chicago native is hosting an event at Chicago’s Studio Paris this Sunday, April 16.
The best things in life aren’t free, so of course, this extravaganza comes with a small fee, but that’s a small price to pay, right?Tickets are on sale for $100 but all proceeds will benefit SocialWorks, the non-profit organization co-founded by the man of the hour.
Aptly titled, “Chance the Birthday,” the event is set to feature “special guests” and according to Chance’s manager “better than any festival that ever existed.” Guests also have the opportunity to reserve a private table, seating 10 for $2,000, including champagne and vodka. Throw in another $500 and you’ll be allotted “premium seating.”
It would be remiss of me to neglect Chance’s philanthropic endeavors, which includes donating $1 million to Chicago Public Schools, sitting on the board of trustees for the DuSable Museum of African American History and hosting open-mic events for teens at the Chicago Cultural Center, just to name a few. Chance the Rapper is Black boy joy personified and deserves to be celebrated. Happy early Birthday, Chance! Get more details and cop tickets for the event here.
