Tameka Raymond Honors Son with 5K Run/ Walk
Tameka Raymond is honoring her late son’s memory with the Give Thanks 5k run/ walk. The inaugural event is being hosted by Kile’s World Foundation, an organization for children ages 10-17 that focuses on performance, fine and applied arts.
Foster, whose son died in a jet ski accident last year, enlisted the help of fitness guru Donna Richardson Joyner and R&B singer Syleena Johnson to join in on the event.
The 5k will be held at Chastain Park in Atlanta this Saturday, November 30 at 9 a.m.
Proceeds raised will go toward the Kile’s World Foundation art camps. There, students are given the opportunity to explore various elements of the arts, including acting, singing, dance, painting, illustration, music production and digital media.
“The arts were extremely important to my son, Kile, so as we kickoff the holiday season, I’m inviting everyone to give back while burning off those extra Thanksgiving calories,” Raymond says in a press release. “In the process, you will be making a camper’s dream come true.”
The $35 registration fee includes a T-shirt. For more information, please visit kilesworld.org.
