Would You Take a Naked Yoga Class?

There’s a new fitness class that’s been sweeping my social media timelines: naked yoga.

Yes, you read right. The yoga studio Bold & Naked in New York City has recently made news because of its all-nude classes.

The studio’s website has this to say:

“While many equate being naked with sex, this couldn’t be further from the truth in a naked yoga class. It’s about being comfortable in your own skin and the amazing confidence that comes with it.

Practicing yoga naked frees you from negative feelings about your body and allows [you] to be more accepting and deeper connected with yourself and the world around you.”

While I wholeheartedly agree with notion of people being comfortable in their own skin and I like the concept of naked yoga, I don’t think this type of class is for me. In the comfort (and privacy) of my own home? Maybe. In front of others in a public space? Not so much.

Granted, you can choose between co-ed or classes separated according to gender, so that helps. But, if you’re into that sort of thing, you can find out more information about naked yoga HERE.
