Now, more noticeably than ever, artists are improving their live performances and lifestyles by trimming their waistlines and being cautious about what goes into their bodies.

For some, the health journey started because of serious health issues that later grew into workout dedication and others, simply wanting a healthier life.

The producer-rapper-songwriter is the most recent artist making headlines due to her 30-pound weight loss, which she credits to Shaun T workout videos, monitoring her diet and a consistent regimen of exercise.

The new figure, which she debuted last week at Alexander Wang’s H&M Collection Launch in New York, comes after an original 70-pound shed during the release and promotion of her Under Construction album in 2002.

In 2008, the Virginia native was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease, an autoimmune illness that affects the thyroid and battled it privately until her public announcement in 2011.
