#MelaninIllustrated Reminds Us Why Black Women Are Dope

Warning: #Blackexcellence, #Blackgirlmagic and all around #Melaninpoppin is about to commence thanks to a group of dope Delta Sigma Theta sorority members.

Around 56f tight-knit sorority sisters posed for a beach-themed photo shoot dubbed, “Melanin Illustrated” recently. If we had to guess, the name of the shoot is a play off of the popular athletes magazine, Sports Illustrated.

And of course the shoot, which is meant to honor Black beauty, went viral under the hashtag #melaninillustrated.

The women are reportedly alums of Florida A&M University and traveled to Costa Rica in celebration of their 10-year Deltaversary. The women are all professionals and range in age between 29 to 35.

“Being in a sisterhood means having a support system and someone always there to count on,” LaToya Owens tells Yahoo Style.
