Happy Headlines: The Give Back Edition

There’s been a lot of sad news recently with the mass shooting in Chicago and the mall attack in Kenya, but here are a couple of  happy headlines, aka stories that made us smile!

A charity based in Florida is reaching out to victims of the Chicago shooting, which wounded 13, including a 3-year-old boy. The goal is to raise money to help with medical costs. So far, people have donated $1,626 to the website, Crowd It Forward.  Feel free to take a look at the link and help out too if it moves you.

In more good news, an Atlanta couple turned their daughter’s canceled wedding reception into a dinner for the homeless. Carol and Willie Fowler did not specify why the wedding was called off, but what does it matter?  We’re just in awe that they decided to throw a party for 200 people through Hosea Feed the Hungry.

Guests were treated to a full sit-down meal at Villa Christina with beef tenderloin kabobs, coconut shrimp and mac-and-cheese shooters for the little ones.
