Happy Headline: Man Pays Grandparents’ Mortgage
We’re all familiar with the ramen noodle diet that reigns supreme during the struggle years of college and hard financial times.
For most, the menu is slim for reasons beyond our control, but for 24-year-old college student, Stefun Darts, his hunger war was absolutely done with all intent and for a good cause.
When Darts was 2-years-old, he made a promise that he would pay off his grandparents’ mortgage. Well, after years of microwave pizzas, working a full-time job, running a non-profit organization and skipping out on kick it sessions with friends, that promise came to fruition this month when Stefun was able to present his grandmother and grandfather with a $15,000 check to pay off their home.
In addition to the payment, Stefun had another major surprise up his sleeve… a trip for two to the Bahamas!
Now, his grandparents and can pay off their home and fly off to an exciting vacation.
“I don’t do this for accolades,” Stefun told KHOU. “To see tears of joy, to experience that in a lifetime, it’s like how many people can say that?”
A genuine act of giving proves that selflessness still exists in the world. Blessings all around!
