JET: Give a little insight on Drakeford PR and how your company has impacted growth in your specific industry and is adding to the success of the market.
Dominique: My company, though very tiny, speaks volumes. I work with very specific brands that I feel are positive and are really creating an environmental and/or social impact. The idea of consciousness having style is an ongoing creative challenge for me, but it’s consistently growing and taking shape. Communities from all over the world are slowly acquiring more sustainability knowledge and access to products and services that are healthier, especially communities of color. Influencers in the market are waking up to ethics and each conversation, each curated event and every blog feature is a dope step closer.
JET: What are some of your personal goals?
Dominique: A huge goal of mine is to really develop my blog MelaninASS.com (Melanin And Sustainable Style) into a premier space for promoting and growing communities of color that focus on sustainability. I intend for this platform to evolve into a movement that curates panel discussions, summits, education curriculums, fashion runway shows and countless other creative presentations around the globe. I want to use this as a bridge to travel, further learn about culture and collaborate with profound innovators and industry disruptors that make sustainability sexy.
