12-14. Speak up, read and chill

Sign up for a language class. Some universities don’t require them; however, the ethnic makeup of the country is quickly changing. Picking up another language can help your career and enrich your life. And you can finally watch Telemundo without guilt.

Your mind is your greatest tool; oil it. Pick up a book that you don’t have to read for class. When you have some downtime or want to relax, go to your library or local bookstore for one of the classics. Start off with books you “read” with SparkNotes in high school.

Schedule some time to take a breath. Pop in a movie. Take a walk. Hang out with friends. You deserve it.
