Save-the-Date Videos Gone Wild!

Janice Jentz, Bambo Obaro save-the-date video.

Jeff and I are pretty low-key people, which is why you won’t catch us doing an over-the-top save-the-date video like this:

Bambo + Janice Epic Wedding Trailer from Major Diamond Productions on Vimeo.

Actually, we didn’t do a video at all. We just kept it “old school” and sent magnets, which we think (and our guests agree) are pretty awesome. (Thank you, Wedding Paper Divas!)

In all honesty, I didn’t even know save-the-date videos were a thing until I read this post. The couple below? Adorbs. The couple above? Well…

But, to each his or her own. In any case, I feel as though your save-the-date, much like your entire wedding, should tell your love story and be an authentic reflection of the the two of you as a couple.  So…if that means flying around Cali in helicopters and (presumably) spending more on your save-the-date video than most people do their entire wedding, then so be it. If you opt for a video, check out these tips.

On the contrary, if you just want to send an evite and keep it low key, then do your thang!  I’m not here to judge … and neither should anyone else.

YOUR TURN: How did you announce your wedding date? Tell us in the comments!
