Naikeya Heath & Matthew Coston

Venue: Sea Watch Resort in Myrtle Beach

Honeymoon: None

Home: Ludowici, GA

Naikeya and Matthew are both physician assistants in the US Army. When Matthew first asked Naikeya to marry him, the two were at home studying for a test. She agreed but then instructed him to get her dad’s permission and propose on one knee, with a ring. Five months later he did just that and Naikeya happily confirmed her love the second time around.

He knew he was in love when…

He started to envision his future and saw her in it. Matthew’s five-year plan had to include Naikeya as his wife.

She knew she was in love when…

She could see herself being with Matt and his daughter, Aniyah, for the rest of her life.

In 10 years we will…

Be transitioning out of the military, looking for a port city to settle down in to raise their children and hoping to have two more kiddos.

Before the groom got married, he wishes someone had told him…

That he would be the mechanic, the plumber, the electrician and the computer guru, in addition to his current occupation as a physician assistant.

Before the bride got married, she wishes someone had told her…

More recipes for dinner.  She thinks Matt is tired of her spaghetti special.

Our favorite activity to do together is…

Rock climbing.

Our nicknames for each other are…

“Mykeya” and “Babeth.” “Mykeya” because she is his Keya. “Babeth” because its a twist from Babe.

Our favorite place to spend time together is…

In a car, plane, bus or boat because we are always traveling somewhere. Our most recent trip was to Las Vegas and Pasadena, California for the 2014 Vizio BCS National Championship bowl game to watch Florida State play Auburn. Go ‘Noles! It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey.

Our song is…

“Here and Now” by Luther Vandross.

Our perfect date night is…

A double date (with a fun loving couple) at a comedy show or paint with a twist followed by dinner.
