Tell us your love story: Bride: The first time I saw Adrian was at church, but the first time we actually met was two weeks before Christmas when we both were out enjoying a night on the town with friends and family at one of our local downtown clubs. I noticed the familiar face from across the club, so I decided to walk up and talk to him. The rest, as they say, is history.
When did you know that your partner was the one? Groom: I knew Cherrel was the one when she brought all of her insecurities and problems to the table and asked me to help her fix and work through them with her. I knew that she wasn’t afraid to be transparent and that loving her wouldn’t be hard, but it was something that I was going to enjoy and love. She was special, so I knew I wanted to spend forever treating her that way.
How did he propose? Bride: About two weeks after welcoming our first child together into the world, Adrian waited until it was a night with just the three of us together and asked me to be his wife. I couldn’t believe it. I looked in awe, cried and through tears, muffled a very emotional “yes” to forever.
What’s the key to the success of your relationship? Bride & Groom: The key to our relationship is communication, prayer, and tons of laughter.
Why do you want to be included in JET love? Bride: I believe that our relationship embodies the quality of genuine love and being featured in a magazine that embraces love will help others see that love still exists.
