Tell us your love story: Bride: I met Stacey for the first time when he was a baby. I was either 5 or 6 years old. After three months of dating, we found out that our parents were longtime friends. After Stacey was born, his parents brought him to my parents’ house. We met again in 2011 when he came to my house to turn off my gas service for non-payment. He asked me out to the movies. Stacey couldn’t wait, so he called me on my job and we went to lunch the same day.
How did he propose? Bride: It was a week before Christmas. I was at Stacey’s house sitting in his father’s old chair, eating pecans. He came over, got on his knees, hugged me around my waist and told me he loved me, and how grateful he was to have me in his life. I was happy to hear him SAY that, because he always WROTE or TEXT MESSAGED how he felt about me. Engagement was the FARTHEST thing from my mind. He pulled out this BEAUTIFUL 2-karat diamond white gold solitaire ring and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him and I told him I would!!
What’s the key to the success of your relationship? Both: The success of our relationship is the communication. We don’t hide anything from one another. If there’s a problem, we talk. Neither of us like to argue.
Why do you want to be included in JET love? I think we should be included in JET love because our love is a testament, that if something is meant to be, IT WILL be, no matter how long it takes. We have been all over the world, dated people in other states, and lived our lives, only to find that the love of MY life has lived less than 10 minutes away from me my entire life.
