Tell us your love story: Bride: I was hosting a prayer circle with seven other women in which we all presented one “it” thing that we were believing God for over a one month period. Four days into the circle, I was introduced to Brian by a friend who said that while at a rehearsal with Brian, God told her that he was my “it.” In this circle, I was believing God for my husband.

When did you know that your partner was the one? Groom: As the old saying goes, “When you know…you just know!” I guess for me it was when I couldn’t see a single day of my life without her being a part of it. Bride: The second time he prayed for me. Anyone can do something once but when it is done more than once they have created a pattern. This pattern became a constant! He doesn’t just love me in my flesh, he loves my soul enough to care about where it will rest.

How did he propose? Bride: We were in Las Vegas for a vacation and we went to dinner followed up by a ride on the High Roller. When we were almost to the top he asked me to look out of the window. When I turned around he was on one knee and everyone in the wheel was watching, taking pictures and recording. He told me how much he loved me and asked me to be his wife.

What’s the key to the success of your relationship? Both: Communication and grace. We try to communicate as openly and honestly as we can while making sure that we afford the other the same grace—the ability to make mistakes and grow— that we are afforded daily by our Father.

Why do you want to be included in JET love? Groom: I’ve read JET since before I can remember. I always saw the beautiful couples and thought to myself that one day that would be me. And that day has come! Bride: Many people underestimate the power of prayer, faith, and love. I would like for people to trust love, trust faith, trust prayer just one more time and when they are not let down, those things will become a constant for them.
