Michael Vick is free at last

By// Chris Yuscavage

For the first time since the federal government charged Michael Vick with running an illegal dogfighting operation in 2007, it seems football fans are focused on the good things the NFL player achieves on the field, instead of the bad things he’s done off of it. So, why dredge up the past with a tell-all, Finally Free (available Sept. 4)? JET got answers straight from the star QB.

The Sept. 3, 2012 issue of JET magazine, on newsstands Aug. 27, 2012.

JET: Why are you putting this book out right now?

Vick: I wanted to make this the last year that I have to answer questions about my past mistakes. I wanted people to have the opportunity to read about my life, what I’ve been through and make their own evaluations.
