Zendaya is about to give us our lives as the mysterious Michelle is Spider-Man: Homecoming, but after Marvel, she’s going to keep flying high.
This Christmas, the Oakland, Calif. native will be shining alongside Hugh Jackman (yes, the Wolverine is doing something other than X-Men these days) and Michelle Williams in The Greatest Showman. The magical film follows the story of P.T. Barnum (Jackman), the founder of what became the famous traveling Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
We don’t know much about character the character Zendaya plays, other than what the trailer shows us, but from what we can see, she will be playing some sort of trapeze artist with bubble gum-pink hair. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Zac Efron and Rebecca Ferguson also star in the film.
Although she does not appear in the trailer, Shadow and Act is reporting it is rumored that legendary actress Diahann Carroll will play a slave exhibited by Barnum under the claim that she nursed President George Washington. Carroll’s name is listed on the film’s IMDB page, we won’t know if the rumors are true until additional trailers are released or until the film actually debuts. The Greatest Showman will premiere Dec. 25.
