Watch: Trailer for ‘Dope’

Fans of the ’90s are in for a treat when Rick Famuyiwa’s Dope hits theaters this summer. The coming of age story is set in Inglewood, CA., and has a fill of nostalgia from the decade. The plot follows the life of Malcom, played by actor Shameik Moore, and his friends as he enters the dope game. Famuyiwa, who is also responsible for bringing us urban classics such as The Wood and Brown Sugar, has teamed up with Forest Whitaker, Pharrell Williams and Sean “Diddy” Combs to produce the film.

Dope also features appearances by A$AP Rocky, Chanel Iman and  Zoë Kravitz. The film hits theaters June 19.
