WATCH: “Shake the Dust” Trailer

If you think you can only find breakdancers in the subways and parks of some of the busiest cities in America, you’re wrong. The hip-hop infused dance is universal, and the new documentary Shake the Dust, created by journalist-turned-filmmaker Adam Sjöberg, sheds light on movers and groovers from all across the world.

The film follows dancers from the ghettos of countries around the globe including Uganda, Yemen and Columbia and reiterates “the power of music and movement.”

Iconic rapper Nas himself is one of the executive producers, and his music is also featured in the flick along with a few of his lyrical buddies Talib Kweli and Common.

Check out the trailer below, and catch the full-length motion picture when it stops in your town.
