WATCH: Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Late Show’ Performance

Last night, the new host of The Late Show, Stephen Colbert, introduced his first musical guest, and he couldn’t have picked a better performer.

The one and only Kendrick Lamar blazed the stage with a medley of songs from his critically-acclaimed release To Pimp A Butterfly.

Dressed in all black and rocking cornrows, the rapper began with “Wesley’s Theory” and transitioned into “Momma” and “King Kunta.” For the finale, he spit the lyrics to “u.”

His electrifying energy was evident, and he and his phenomenal band put on an incredible show worthy of a mic drop.
