Video: ‘Rosewood’ Star Lorraine Toussaint


Lorraine Toussaint exudes a fearless confidence that becomes infectious the moment she enters the room.

Appearing in a fitted black and white dress paired with green strapped heels, the Trinidadian actress was all smiles when she made a stop in Chicago for an advanced screening of the new FOX series, Rosewood starring the ever-so good looking, Morris Chestnut.

With a career in “go” mode since the 80s and accolades that reign in recognition for her critically acclaimed and “Outstanding Actress” performances in projects such as Ava DuVernay’s Middle of Nowhere, Any Day Now, and most recently her portrayal as “Vee” in the Netflix original series, Orange is The New Black, the Julliard School alum has reached a stage in her being that fuels adventure and comfort in who she is as a woman and artist.

In this on the carpet interview with the dazzling Toussaint, she discusses what initially attracted her to her latest role as “Donna” in Rosewood, and what keeps her excited about transforming into diverse characters in such prominent films and television series.
