Update: Cissy Houston on Bobbi Kristina
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cissy Houston updated the world on the progress of her 22-year-old granddaughter Bobbi Kristina.
Reports have been conflicting, with singer Bobby Brown and other family members saying that her condition has improved. But Cissy says her granddaughter has shown no progress.
“She’s the same, she’s not progressing at all,” Cissy, 81, told Entertainment Tonight on Saturday. “She’s not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord decides, I’m ready for her…I have nothing to do with that. That’s His job. It’s His territory, you know? And I understand it.”
According to Cissy, doctors told the family that Bobbi Kristina suffers from irreversible brain damage and that nothing can be done to improve her condition.
On Friday, a judge appointed Bobby Brown and Pat Houston, Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law, as co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina. Cissy told Entertainment Tonight that she supported the decision.
“We’re a family… that works together for the best.”
Our prayers go out to Bobbi Kristina and her family during this difficult time.
