Tyrese Sells Action Pitch to Universal Pictures
Tyrese may be gearing up for his Furious 7 promo run, but the singer/actor also has some big news coming from his Voltron Filmz company.
Universal Pictures has optioned Desert Eagle, an action film written by Tyrese and Mike Le, reports Deadline.com.
The storyline centers around two agents who investigate a drug cartel running out of a Native American reservation casino.
Universal Pictures is positioning the film as a starring role for Tyrese. He will also serve as the executive producer via his Voltron Filmz, while Scott Stuber (Ted 2) will serve as producer through his Bluegrass Film banner.
Matthew Stuecken and Josh Campbell have been hired to rewrite the script.
Desert Eagle sounds like an entertaining journey. Tyrese loves the action!
