Tyler Perry Offers To Pay For Twins’ Funeral

Director Tyler Perry is offering to pay for the funeral expenses of the 15-month old twins who died last week after being left in a scorching car, according to ABC News.

The twins, Ariel and Alyanah North, were left inside the vehicle by their father Asa for several hours. The father, Asa North, was arrested and charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct.

Carrollton Police Department spokesman Chris Dobbs says that North has not entered a plea yet.

Breal Ellis, the girls’ mother, was already hospitalized after being involved in a serious car accident nearby in Atlanta a day before.

“I was with them everyday and the one day I left..I just want to tell them I’m sorry. They didn’t deserve to die like that or to die, period, but I know they’re in heaven,” Ellis told reporters.

Ellis, who is planning to bury her daughters this week, told reporters that she didn’t have money to pay for their funeral. Fortunately, a family friend has raised more than $20,000 on a GoFundMe to help for expenses.

Perry reached out to a news local affiliate after hearing about the situation. It’s unclear if Ellis has accepted the offer.
