TV One Preps for Holiday Films
TV One doesn’t seem to be easing up on content.
The platform, which has become a viewer favorite thanks to the successful Unsung series, is introducing the comedic Born Again Virgin this Wednesday.
Today, the network announced its plans to produce a series of holiday-based movies.
Starring an ensemble cast consisting of Vivica A. Fox, Romeo Miller, Tichina Arnold, Debbi Morgan and Richard Lawson, Royal Family Thanksgiving and Royal Family Christmas will tell the story of a middle-class family navigating the joy and adversities of family relationships as the holidays approach.
Royal Family Thanksgiving features Richard Lawson and Debbi Morgan as the heads of the Royal family. The married couple lead their children to believe that divorce is on the horizon, in order to get them all home for Thanksgiving and in the same room.
As drama surfaces between family members and the faux plot thickens between Mr. and Mrs. Royal, a true break-up may take place.
The reveal and efforts toward resolve enter in Royal Family Christmas, where the children are now trying to rekindle their parent’s love for each other.
Old wounds are opened, surprises and challenges make themselves known and there’s no telling how the Royal family can revive themselves and get to a genuine space of togetherness.
The made-for-TV movies are currently in production with air dates scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21 at 8p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5, 8p.m. ET.
