Trevor Noah’s “Daily Show” Debut

South African comedian, Trevor Noah will begin hosting The Daily Show on September 28th.

Comedy Central announced the date for Noah’s debut, today, along with the release of a brief video of the new host settling into the studio.

It seems like Noah could not be happier that he is replacing longtime host Jon Stewart who stepped down earlier this year.

In 2014, Noah joined “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” as a contributor.

The new host made his U.S. television debut in 2012 on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and has also appeared on “Late Show with David Letterman,” becoming the first South African stand-up comedian to appear on either late night show.

Rookie Jon Stewart will film his final episode on August 6th, before Noah takes over.
