‘Training Day,’ The TV Series?

This is a silent shocker.

Deadline reports that the popular 2001 film, Training Day starring Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, is in works to become a series production.

As the Interwebs tell it, director Antoine Fuqua has teamed up with producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Without A Trace) to bring the cop thriller to a network. The two have been shopping the package around and gaining interest from production houses such as Warner Bros. TV, Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures.

The vision, spearheaded by Fuqua, is to create a “neo-noir crime thriller.” No further details have been released relating to castings or full plot lines.

However, Antoine Fuqua is tapped to executive produce and have a hand in directing the potential TV series pilot.
