Tracy Morgan to Get Star on Walk of Fame
Earlier this month, comedian Tracy Morgan gave his first public interview since the fatal car crash that claimed the life of his friend and fellow comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair.
The entertainer’s slow recovery was well documented after a Walmart truck crashed into his limousine while traveling along the New Jersey turnpike last year.
Now, we’re happy to announce that the fully-recovered comic will be receiving his star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
Morgan made the announcement via Twitter on Tuesday.
I am honored to be getting a walk of fame star. I hope they put me next to my biological father Charlton Heston from Planet of the Apes!

In a separate interview filmed at Saturday Night Live where he pretty much solidified his place in entertainment, Morgan expressed his desire to return to the stage to honor Mack, his family and those that have supported him throughout the recovery process.
“I promise you. One day, when I’m 100 percent — I’m going to grab that mic and I’m never going to let it go. Never.”
That’s right Tracy. Never give up.
