Tim Story, Courtney Lilly Team Up for ABC Comedy

What does it mean to be an African American man in today’s society?

The question will instantly spark thought that relates to the various cases of police brutality against unarmed Black men, and the daily harassment received simply due to the color of their skin or because it’s cold and they choose to wear a black hoodie.

However, though society is in a tense state, Black-ish co-executive producer Courtney Lilly and director Tim Story, along with Aaron Kaplan ‘s Kapitol Entertainment and ABC Studios have teamed up for a comedic experience as it relates to the Black man’s life in today’s society.

Joe 2.0, a  guy-tailored comedy, is a single-camera show where iconic pop culture moments are used to highlight everyday moments in the life of a recently divorced high school teacher.

Written by Lily, the production is currently in development and marks the latest collaboration between Story and Kaplan.

We’ll keep you looped as details  and production develops.
