Tichina Arnold To Host Triumph Awards

For the first-time ever, TV One, in partnership with Rev. Al Sharpton and the National Action Network (NAN), will broadcast the Triumph Awards on October 16.

Hosted by Survivor’s Remorse actress and two-time NAACP Image Award recipient, Tichina Arnold, the esteemed ceremony highlights the societal impact imparted on the world by a select group of honorees.

This year’s honorees include John Legend for his human rights and social justice advocacy; Civil Rights leader, Activist and Minister Rev. Dr. Joseph Echols Lowery; Singer, Actor and Philanthropist, Tyrese; award-winning Comedienne and Producer Wanda Sykes; and Rosalind Hudnell, chief diversity officer and global director of education and external relations for Intel.

The broadcasted event will also feature musical performances by Jazmine Sullivan, Tasha Cobbs and Ledisi, to name a few, with a special jazz-infused experience from Robert Glasper.

Glasper will also serve as musical director and orchestrate the house band for the evening.

The 2015 Triumph Awards will tape on September 12 in Atlanta and air in October on TV One.
