This Rihanna & Lupita Nyong’o Twitter Movie Obviously Needs To Happen

Rihanna & Lupita Nyong’o teaming up for their own gorgeous Black version of Inception is something we all need to see!

With its obsession with reboots and remakes, Hollywood is obviously slacking when it comes to original content. Luckily Black Twitter has decided to come to the rescue. Over the weekend, a stunning photo of Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o sitting next to one another at a Miu Miu fashion show back in 2014 resurfaced. Since then, Black Twitter has transformed the photo into a full-fledged film with Insecure‘s Issa Rae being plucked to direct it.

Twitter user @1800SADGAL set it off when she casually posted the photo on Twitter with the caption, “Rihanna looks like she scams rich white men and Lupita is the computer smart best friend that helps plan the scans.”

Nyong’o peeped the Tweet and added the Anti-singer with the caption “I’m down if you are.” To which RiRi responded, “I’m in Pit’z”

Obviously, everyone began getting their entire lives.

Issa Rae and Ava Duvernay’s hats were thrown into the ring, and some seriously gorgeous fan art was even added to the mix. Still, it was just abstract fun and games until Code Black Films which operates under Lionsgate got wind of the plot. The studio which produces Black stories said, “Lionsgate is ready! Are you guys serious? If so a deal can be done this week!”

So seriously, can this happen for real?! Surely Pit’z can take a pause for the cause on her Star Wars work, and since Rihanna just finished wrapping the all-female version of Ocean’s 8, she’s already in formation.

In the words of Joanne the Scammer, this film would be, “iconic, truly.”
