The ‘That’s So Raven’ Reboot Just Snagged A Familiar Face

Raven’s Home is set to debut in July and Raven’s high school bae Devon Carter is returning as her ex-hubby.

Jonathan McDaniel starred in That’s So Raven as Raven’s high school crush Devon Carter. After getting his braces removed and his acne clearing up, Devon became bae, and he and Raven eventually got into a relationship. They even stayed together after he moved to Seattle, Washington with his family. It looks like Devon and Raven remained together even after high school. In Raven’s Home, Raven is a single mom to 11-year old twins Nia and Booker, so obviously the kiddos didn’t just sprout from thin air.

Though Raven-Symoné is returning as Raven and Anneliese Van Der Pol is returning as her BFF Chelsea, McDaniel is only set to guest star on the series. Still, that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing quite a bit of Devon at Raven and Chelsea’s place. On the series, the ladies are raising their kids under the same roof. One of Raven’s twins, Booker seems to have inherited her gift for catching glimpses of the future. Chelsea’s son, 9-year-old Levi, is just along for the ride.

Black-ish’s Issac Brown and Being Mary Jane’s Navia Robinson will star as Booker, and Nia respectively and Superstore’s Jason Maybaum will play Levi. Technically, Raven’s Home is the second That’s So Raven spin-off from the Disney Channel after Cory In the House.

We wonder what Devon thinks of his son inheriting his mother’s gift?

Raven’s Home will debut on the Disney Channel Friday, July 21st right after the premiere of the long-awaited Descendants 2.
