Teyana Taylor is about to bring her sultry dance moves to the big screen.
We’ve known about Teyana Taylor for years. From her fantastic R&B music to her role in Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family she’s no stranger to the spotlight. However, her outstanding dance performance in Kanye West’s music video “Fade” last year catapulted her into an entirely new level of fame. Since then, the Harlem native has had a recurring role on VH1’s ’90s set series The Breaks, done GQ photoshoots with her NBA hubby Iman Shumpert, and released a dance exercise program.
Now, it looks like the 26-year old is about to head back to the big screen in a very familiar franchise. Taylor is about to heat up the movie theaters as the lead in Honey 4. If you recall, before she passed, Aaliyah was slated to star the original Honey. Jessica Alba eventually took on the role in 2003, and the film helped set off her career. Though there have been two other Honey films in between the original and this future one, Taylor can truly act and dance, so this might actually be iconic.
Though the film just began shooting in Atlanta, we do know that Stomp the Yard scribe Robert Adetuyi and director Billie Woodruff are taking the reigns. Woodruff has directed all of the Honey films thus far.

There are no other real deets about the film’s plot or a release date just yet. However, with Teyana Taylor at the center, we hope it’s legendary. She deserves it.
Will you check out Honey 4 when it premieres?
