Actor Terrence Howard spilled some details about The Best Man 2 during a promotional event for his latest film, Dead Man Down.

“[Director and screenwriter] Malcolm Lee showed us what intelligent young Black people were capable of in the The Best Man I, but The Best Man II, it shows where people go, whether they’re doing the right thing or the wrong thing, and how much we need each other within our community.”

Howard didn’t want to reveal too much, but he did say he got “teary-eyed thinking about it because there’s some tragedy in it.”

The follow-up film will officially be called The Best Man Holiday and brings the original cast back together fourteen years later: Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Morris Chesnut, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, and more. The movie is slated for a November release.
