Atlanta is almost ready to return to our TV screens and apparently, season two is legendary.
Donald Glover is never without a check. From his appearance in this summer’s Spider-Man: Homecoming to his upcoming films, the live-action version of The Lion King and the Untitled Star Wars Han Solo flick, we thought he’d forgotten about our beloved Atlanta. Luckily, the 33-year old would never do us wrong like that.
The Community alum’s Atlanta co-stars Zazie Beetz, Lakeith Stanfield and Brian Tyree Henry have also stayed busy working on Deadpool 2, Get Out and NBC’s This is Us respectively. Mostly though we’re just trying to figure out if Ern and Paper Boi are going to be able to do this whole music thing for real.
In a recent interview with Clara Amfo on BBC Radio 1, Glover discusses the upcoming second season of his Golden Globe winning series which is set to drop in 2018.
“I’m not the type of person to rush anything,” Glover shared during his interview. “I feel like if you rush it, you’ll start to get something you don’t want and then you start to question why you even liked it. I’m not gonna make anything until it’s ready. But to be completely honest, it’s almost ready. I’m pretty happy with a lot of the things, and I think it’s better than the first season.”

Now, all we need is a release date and a trailer and our hearts will be content. FX, are you listening?
