Taraji P. Henson Named ‘Entertainer of The Year’
Taraji P. Henson has been in the business for over 20 years serving versatile characters, style and grace.
But when she transformed into “Cookie Lyons”, a quick-witted, ex-drug dealer-turned-rising music mogul, on the hit Fox series, ‘Empire’, her “celebrity” took a wild and unyielding turn for mainstream success.
A single mother and trained actress, over the course of a year, Taraji has blossomed into a household name across the board and it all just keeps getting better.
So, it’s no surprise that USA Today would name the Oscar-nominated star their “Entertainer of The Year.”
She told USA Today that before the rise of the ‘Empire’, life “was kind of normal still.”
It’s safe to say that life has added a few star-quality perks.
“Now that I’m rich, people like to send me things for free. I don’t understand that, but OK, I’ll take it,” she said.
Taraji’s charismatic and comedic nature is in high-demand and we can bet, there will be no slowing down come the new year!
