Taraji P. Henson Memoir Coming Soon!

Taraji P. Henson has always been candid about her grind to reach her current status in Hollywood – all while being a single mother.

From the time she stepped on the scene in her breakout role as Yvette in Baby Boy, Taraji, for many ladies, instantly became the BFF-in-your-head. Super down-to-earth, naturally funny and uber talented, lady Henson’s star blossomed right in front of our eyes and she’s so deserving.

We’ve seen the glitz, glam, and numerous awards, but now our homegirl is letting fans and followers take a deeper look into the trials and journey with her memoir, appropriately titled, Around The Way Girl, due October 11, 2016.

Taraji made the announcement via social media, late Thursday night.

In a note, penned by the actress on the book publisher’s page (Simon & Schuster), Taraji shares:

“…Whether it’s Cookie from Empire, Queenie from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Yvette from Baby Boy, or rocket scientist Katherine Johnson from Hidden Figures, they’re characters. As for the real me, I’m just a girl who went to Hollywood with my son, $700, and a dream.”

I don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to get our hands on a copy!

Go Girl!
