Taraji P. Henson, ABFF Celebrity Ambassador

That Taraji reign just keeps getting better.

An Oscar-nominated actress with skills that range from playing a timid mother to Brad Pitt in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” to no-nonsense boss “Cookie” in the hit series, “Empire,” Henson is finally getting the attention she deserves.

The actress just snagged the “2015 Celebrity Ambassador” crown for the American Black Film Festival (ABFF).

“It is a privilege to join my fellow filmmakers to celebrate and support artists and the artistry that resides in all of us,” she told Shadow & Act.

The actress also thanked ABFF founder Jeff Friday and the ABFF team for the honor.

The 19th edition of the festival will take place in New York from June 11-14, at the New York Hilton, AMC Empire 25 and the Ziegfeld Theater.
