Tamala Jones to Produce ‘Tammi Terrell’ Biopic

Actress Tamala Jones has been working in the entertainment industry for years.

Currently, a series regular on ABC’s Castle, the TV and film actress is gearing up to produce the biopic of songstress Tammi Terrell, who died of a brain tumor at age 24.

Terrell’s sultry vocals and beautiful looks complemented the music style of Marvin Gaye. Together and individually, they made an iconic impression on soul music and culture.

Jones’ production, which is backed by Tammi Terrell’s estate, will be adapted from the book, My Sister Tommie, penned by Terrell’s sister Ludie Montgomery.

Montgomery is also backing the project, reports Deadline.

The untitled biopic marks the first full-length feature through Tamala’s Foxy Roxy Productions and will begin filming in 2016.
