‘Sorority Sisters’ Gets The Greenlight

No promo pic and a 15 second tease. Something has us here at the JET questioning the mystique behind the new Vh1 reality series ‘Sorority Sisters’ scheduled for a December 15 premiere.

In a press release, made public today, the Mona Scott-Young created series details a show that give “viewers a rare glimpse into the unique world of ATL Greek life.”

“Sorority Sisters” will follow the lives of nine women from four different sororities as they carry on the sisterhood tradition of community work after graduation while balancing men, life and career.

With this being Vh1 and another Mona Scott-Young production, drama is sure to be on board.

The release states, “For these friends and sisters (or sorors) from celebrated historically black colleges and universities in Atlanta, strong ties to their organizations lead to fierce rivalries, but through thick and thin, these women stand united and share an unbreakable bond.”

In June of this year, the announcement of the show gained negative backlash, immediately. A petition was even recreated to stop this show from seeing the light of day.
