Ten years ago we could’ve never predicted that Snoop Dogg Lion would be the poster child for gun control. However, after releasing his latest single “No Guns Allowed” featuring Drake and his daughter Cori B., Snoop has partnered up with MTV and Jewelry for a Cause to help take illegal guns off of the street.

According to, Snoop, MTV and Jewelry for a Cause are releasing limited edition “MTV x Caliber” bracelets partly made from the steel of illegal guns acquired in police-sponsored buyback programs.

“This is such an important message we’re sharing,” Snoop said in a statement. “It’s a movement we want generations to recognize, embrace, and get behind. We’ve seen a lot of senseless acts of violence involving guns recently – too many lost lives, too many families have been destroyed. Like my friends at MTV, I want to be a part of the change that will help bring peace.”

The bracelets can be pre-ordered beginning April 9th for $40 on Proceeds will be donated to the Newark Police Department to help aid future gun buyback programs.
