Snoop To Invest In Weed Delivery Business
It’s no secret that Snoop Dogg likes his cannabis.
So much to the point where he has invested in a new marijuana delivery service. Eaze works by connecting California’s medical-marijuana patients with local dispensaries. The service says it can deliver within 10 minutes.
Snoop isn’t the only backer. DCM Ventures, 500 Startups and Fresh VC have all invested in the business, bringing the total to a whooping $10 million so far.
The company’s business model is based on Uber’s success. In fact, Uber’s blueprint has yielded quite a few billion-dollar startups, including Instacart, which delivers groceries.
Alaska, Washington, D.C., Colorado and Washington have all passed laws legalizing recreational marijuana. Privateer Holdings raised $75 million to fund marijuana startups — the biggest private funding in the legal weed business to date.
