Shaq Sued for Mocking Man with Disorder

Shaquille O’Neal was chuckling when he posted a side-by-side photo of him and man with a rare genetic disorder on his Instagram page. That smile has likely been wiped off his face, because the 23-year-old he offended is suing the NBA star.

Jahmel Binion filed a lawsuit Wednesday against O’Neal claiming defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and general negligence, according to the Macomb Daily.

The sports commentator isn’t the only dealing with legal issues. Utah Jazz’s Trey Burke and rapper Waka Flocka Flame are facing similar suits because they also poked fun at the Michigan native’s appearance on social media.

Binion suffers from hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia, a condition characterized by a reduced ability to sweat, sparse hair growth, missing teeth and facial deformities.

While the celebs did apologize, the mea culpas didn’t come until after the the public criticized their behavior. Apparently, their apologies were not enough, because Binion is now seeking $25,000.

Looks like he’s the one with the last laugh.
